Affirmations and Spirituality
One of the major spiritual tools I have used to enhance my life has been the affirmation. An affirmation is a positive thought or idea that you focus on in order to achieve a desired result. Affirmations are statements of truth that can reinforce the truth about ourselves and dispel any negative beliefs. There is creative power in the spoken word. Affirmations can help us to use that creative energy to improve our lives.
I believe that we are connected to a power greater than ourselves. This power is responsive to our intention and can provide us with inner guidance. Moreover, it has been my experience that I can call upon this spiritual energy to assist me during times of need.
This website is designed to communicate information about the healing power of affirmations and positive self-talk. The content is taken from my book on affirmations called Words That Heal.
Words That Heal: Affirmations and Meditations for Daily Living is the audiobook version of the classic work on affirmations that was originally published in 1990 and has been translated into eight languages. Since then, many people from around the world have continued to express how much Words That Heal has helped them, especially during times of loss and transition.

Words That Heal
This is the classic work on affirmations that combines a self-help section on how to create affirmations with a series of 52 inspirational passages or “teachings,” each of which contains three parts:
1) A meditation—a short passage that offers thoughts and reflections about a specific subject or life experience..
2) A series of affirmations—positive thoughts and ideas that when repeated will help you to transform your negative beliefs and attitudes.
3) A quotation that encapsulates the essence of the teaching.
